What is Strega Defence?
It is a network protection service for professional firms and small businesses without an IT department. A Box sits between the office and the internet, closes what is not needed and watches the traffic; when something that matters happens, a plain-language alert reaches the owner's phone with what happened, how serious it is and what to do.
Do I need to change my router or rebuild the office network?
No. The Box also works behind the internet provider's router, which often cannot be removed. The site visit is there to choose the best connection. Go-live takes a few hours and the office is without internet for an hour at most.
Does Strega Defence act on the network on its own?
Yes, and that is exactly the point: security decisions are made by Strega Defence, not by the owner. It automatically blocks dangerous connections, suspicious logins and countries that attacks come from; if a computer behaves abnormally it isolates it from the network until a technician checks it. Every action is explained to you in a notification and kept in the Log.
How much does it cost?
A one-off activation and a flat monthly fee, whatever the number of people in the office. The planned launch prices for the pilot programme are €89 a month for the Studio plan and €149 a month for the Business plan, excluding VAT, with the Box included on loan.
Does Strega Defence make my office GDPR or NIS2 compliant?
No product, on its own, makes an organisation compliant. Strega Defence helps demonstrate security measures: the Log records logins, decisions and changes, and the periodic report is ready to show clients, auditors or the data protection authority, or to attach to questionnaires from clients subject to NIS2.
Why are you called Strega?
"Strega" means witch, and we are from Benevento, the city of witches. Legend says a broom behind the door was enough against the janare: the witch had to count all its bristles before coming in. Strega Defence does the same with every connection.
